Grace Karnes, 83, of Canehill, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 1995, at Washington Regional Medical Center. Born March 3, 1911, at LaFolette, Tenn., the daughter of George W. and Sally Wilson Rains, she attended the Presbyterian Church in Cane Hill and was married to Stirman Karnes.
Survivors are three sisters, Marie Jenkins of Cane Hill, Ruby Chitwood of Lafolette, Tenn., and Lorene Silvey of Williston, Fla.; four step-daughters, Wanda Irwin of Springdale, Marguerite Deaton of Claremore, Okla., Merril Brown of Fort Smith and Allean Moore of Pryor, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, with Ken Jenkins officiating. Burial is in Cane Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
