Lincoln — Jim Pittman Sharp, 89, a lifelong resident of the Cane Hill Community died at his home this morning. He was born June 29, 1873 at Cane Hill, the son of James and Eliza Dykes Sharp.
Survivors include the widow, Maude of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Bert Pollard of Amarillo, Tex., Mrs. Frank Bowden of Madison Heights, Mich., Mrs. Fred Gilbert of Ellensburg, Wash. and Mrs. Ben Tyree of Bonanza, Ore.; one son, Jake of Perry, S.D.; one sister, Mrs. Grace Pilgreem of Tulsa, and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Luginbuel Chapel in Lincoln. Burial in Cane Hill Cemetery.

Prairie Grove — Mrs. Maude May Sharp, 80, of Cane Hill, died in a Fayetteville rest home June 21. She was born Feb. 8, 1888 at Joplin, Mo., the daughter of James and Rhonda Mae Barnes Brundige and was a Seventh Day Adventist.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Pollard of Amarillo, Tex., Mrs. Joe Tyree of Bonanza, Ore., Mrs. Blanche Gilbert of Ellensburg, Wash., and Mrs. Neva Jean Bowdon of Detroit., Mich.; one son, J.P. of Kirkland, N. Mex.; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Roberts of Claremore, Okla. and Mrs. Chloe Simpson of Siloam Springs; two brothers, Charles Brundige of Sulphur Springs and George Brundige of Mangum, Okla.; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service was to be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Luginbuel Chapel with burial in Cane Hill cemetery.
