Mar 23,189Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Vance, 73, of Palestine, who died Tuesday evening at Forrest Memorial Hospital, will be held Friday in Stevens Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Rev. Bobby Parker, with burial in Forrest Park cemetery. Mrs.Vance was born Mar.23,1895, in Jefferson Co., Alabama, the daughter of Mrs. Callie Makenson Ludlow and Charles Ludlow. A member of the Church of Christ, she had lived at Palestine since 1940. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Vance, whom she married in 1916; two sons, Truman and Clarence of Palestine; five daughters, Mrs. Velma Makenson of Forrest City, Mrs. Annie Mae Duckworth of Little Rock, Mrs. Mildred Knight of Cypress, Texas, and Mrs. Elsie Hooten and Mrs. Edna Ellis, both of Hayward, Calif.; a brother, Sid Ludlow of Hamilton, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Raburn and Mrs. Oma North, both of Memphis;; 3s grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.5-June 18,1968
