Mrs. Christine McBroome, age 78, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at her home. Mrs. McBroome, was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Hunter, the daughter of Robert Rice and Eula Sullivan Rice. She lived in St. Francis County for most of her life, was a cashier and a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. McBroome is survived by one son, Craig McBroome of Fredericksburg, Va.; one daughter, Dianne Cook of Forrest City; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. McBroome were held on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial followed in Forrest Park Cemetery.
