Mrs. Willie Heustess Holder, age 95, of Hudson, Florida, formerly of Forrest City, died Monday at the HPH Hospice in Brooksville, Florida. She had been in poor health for the past two weeks.
Mrs. Holder was born January 11, 1916, in Forrest City, and was the daughter of Charles W. Heustess and Ella Holloway Heustess. She lived in Forrest City until moving to Memphis in 1942 and later moved to Florida in 2004. She retired as a clerk for a Dry Cleaners in Memphis in 1986 and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee.
Mrs. Holder married Melvin A. Holder in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1961. She is survived by one daughter, Mariella James of Hudson, Florida, one son, Melvin A. Holder Jr. of Lake Mary, Florida, one granddaughter, Heather Murphy and one great-grandson, Ethan Murphy.
Services for Mrs. Holder will be held Graveside, 11:00 A.M., Friday, at the Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City.
