Hazel Eileen Ashworth, 77, of Searcy, died Thursday, October 21, 2010. She was born July 30, 1933, in Floral, Arkansas, the daughter of Leon and Arkie Alumbaugh Ramsey.
She is survived by her husband, Sterling Ashworth of Searcy; a son, Gary Ashworth and his wife Angela of Orlando, Florida; two grandsons, Steven and Scott Ashworth; nine great-grandchildren, Cassady, Mason, Ramsey, Tommy, Hannah, Londyn, Lindsay, Dalton and Donovan; five sisters, Pat Davidson of Concord, Sue Roberts of Gatesville, Loretta Bowman of Batesville, Margaret Bradley of Floral and Linda Southerland of Bald Knob; two brothers, John Ramsey and Norman Ramsey, both of Floral.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven Ashworth; and a sister, Dixie Wood.
Hazel was very involved in the church activities of her church, The First Assembly of God in Searcy.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church of Searcy. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.
