Mrs. Mamie Victoria Douglas Clark, age 96, of Forrest City, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at Forrest City Medical Center.
Mrs. Clark was born Sept. 29, 1909, in Alicia, the daughter of Steven Andrew Douglas and Phebia Carolina Huskey. She lived in Forrest City for most of her life, was a housewife and a member of the Widener Baptist Church.
Mrs. Clark married Hosea Lamar Clark in 1928 and he preceded her in death in 1992. She is survived by one daughter, Allie C. Vasquez of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Hosea I. Clark and Tommy A. Clark both of Forrest City; one sister, Geneva Roberts of Texas; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lucille Clark, in 1929.
Visitation for Mrs. Clark will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
