Jesse Lee Laxson, 64, of Mellwood passed away October 25, 2006 in Mellwood. Mr. Laxson was born October 21, 1942 in West Helena to the late James Franklin Laxson and the late Nellie Bell Layton Laxson.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Dison Laxson of Mellwood; his children, Randall Bobo of Florence, AL, Marie Halle of Southaven, MS, Kenneth Laxson of Harrison, Julianne Bobo of Florence, AL, Mary Caery of Elaine, and Susan Laxson of Mellwood; two brothers, Buddy Franklin Laxson of LaGrange and Rueben Laxson of Pacola, OK; a sister, Nellie Snowden of Natchez, MS; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Michael Vincent Laxson, a daughter, Sharon Lynn Laxson, and a brother, Johnny Laxson.
Funeral services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
Margie Dison Laxson, 64, of Mellwood, Arkansas passed away February 18, 2007, at her home. She was born November 13, 1942, in Athens, Alabama to the late Clifton Jack and Grady Louise Edge Dison. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama.
Ms. Laxson is survived by a son Randall Bobo and his wife Dawn of Florence, Alabama, a step-son Kenneth Laxson of Harrison, Arkansas; 4 daughters; Marie Halle and husband Ken of Southaven, Mississippi, Julia Bobo of Florence, Alabama, Mary Caery and husband Ronnie of Elaine, Arkansas, and Susan Laxson of Mellwood, Arkansas, brothers; Charlie and Winston Dison, 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jesse Lee Laxson, and a sister Helen Dison.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Brother Daniel Attaway will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
