Ellec Coppett, aged 54, Stephens Rd., died suddenly Saturday night. He had recently undergone a series of tests in the hospital and had been dismissed. Mr. Coppett was born November 27, 1913 in Hampton and had been an employee of the Camden Postoffice since 1947. He was a city mail carrier and a member of the Camden Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Miss Sherry Coppett of the home, Mrs. Mike Meeks of Fayetteville; one son, Roger Coppett; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Coppett of Camden; two brothers, Ervin Coppett of Stephens and Earl Coppett of Camden; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Harrell of Bearden and Mrs. Fay Sutton of Louisiana. Funeral services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at the Camden Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in Bethesda Cemetery. Letter carriers from the local postoffice will serve as pallbearers. Camden Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - March 4, 1968)
