BELLA VISTA — Alta Mae Cornstuble, 84, of Bella Vista died Dec. 26, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in Anderson, Mo. She was born May 12, 1918, in Mount Vernon, Ill, to Thomas Walter and Alta Nevada Rich Mick. She moved to Bella Vista from Tulsa, Okla. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, the Bella Vista Women's Club, the Garden Club, the Women's 5-Hole Golf Association, the Oklahoma Osteopathic Auxiliary, the American Osteopathic Auxiliary, the Christian Women's Club, the Historical Society and Friends of the Library. She was a former member of the Women's 9-Hole Golf Association.

Survivors include her husband, Norman Cornstuble of Bella Vista; two sons, Richard Cornstuble and wife Glenda of Lafayette, Ind., and David Cornstuble and wife Robyn of Mankato, Minn.; one sister, Dorothy Hulen of Bella Vista; eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista with Melvon Ireland officiating.

Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, 109 W. Central, Bentonville, 72712; the Bella Vista Living Memory Garden, c/o Jo Hackett, 9 Newnham Lane, Bella Vista, 72714; or the Shoebox Ministry, c/o Bella Vista United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista, 72714.
