Myrle Norene McCoy, 91, of Hindsville, Ark., died June 25, 2011, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born May 18, 1920, at Spring Valley, Ark., the daughter of Franklin Ernest and Mary Etta Roles Phillips.
She was a homemaker and had retired from Dixie Cup Corp. in Anaheim, Calif., a member of the Regular Baptist Church in Fullerton, Calif., attending the Buckeye Regular Baptist Church, and a member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Alvie James McCoy on Nov. 10, 1999. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Joyce McCoy Rowe and Carolyn J. McCoy Phillips; and one great-granddaughter, Nicole Marie Phillips.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, James K. and Susan McCoy of Fort Smith, Ark., and Phillip J. McCoy of Hindsville, Ark.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Douglas Lawson of Huntsville, Ala., and Sandra K. and Gary Brinson of Fayetteville, Ark.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eldon Bagwell officiating. Interment will be in the Buckeye Cemetery, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Phillips, James McCoy, Chris Phillips, Spencer Crenshaw, Justin Phillips and Sawyer Crenshaw.
