Mr. Frank Mason “Pete” Cameron, 38, of Newport died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 in Missouri. He was born December 5, 1974 in Newport.

He had been employed by Arkansas Steel and TWH Enterprises. Mr. Cameron was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dog, “Maggie”.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Turner.

Mr. Cameron is survived by two sons, Aaron Matthew Cameron and Cody Mason Cameron, both of Elk City, Oklahoma; his mother, Lille Marie (Turner) Duncan of Batesville; one sister, Tanya Burleson and husband Anthony of Providence, Arkansas; nephews, Brian and Scott Burleson; great-nephews, Treyton and Connor Anthony Burleson; his maternal grandmother, Louise Turner of Newport; three aunts, Brenda Fry Sullivan and husband Jimmy of Tuckerman, Judy Miller of Newport, and Charlene Anderson of Concord; several cousins; and a lifetime of friends.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Watson Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Renard Robinson, Dennis Whaley, Chad Mullins, Justin Smith, Ty Hughes, and Mark Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Ball, Trent Mullins, Brian Burleson, and Scott Burleson.
