Henry Lee Slinger, 54-year-old resident of Port Orchard, Wash., died Sunday at the Center Pavillion Hospital in Houston, Texas after an extended illness.
Slinger was born July 16, 1922, at Dutch Mills, Ark. He was a heavy equipment operator, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his widow, Thelma of the home; two sons, David of VanCouver, Wash., and Johnny of Sunnyside, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Menear of Port Orchard, Wash.; six sisters, Mrs. Sadie Holliday of Sulphur Springs, Ark., Mrs. Jewell Tedford of Ada, Okla., Mrs. Ruby West of Lexington, Mo., Mrs. Alice Eppele of Disney, Okla., Mrs. Allene Smith of Beaumont, Texas, Mrs, Nettie Crozier of Stilwell, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Thursday at the Liberty Baptist Church at Dutch Mills with the Rev. Paul Edwards officiating.
Burial was under the direction of the Pyeatte Funeral service at the Dutch Mills Cemetery.
