Charles Glynn Goss, Sr., 75, of Little Rock, passed away at Arkansas Heart Hospital on Monday, September 12, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Odise Joshua Goss, mother, Grace Lee Goss, and step-mother, Myrtle Goss, one brother, O.J. Goss, one sister, Mabel Edwards and granddaughter, Tiffany Michelle Goss.

He is survived by his wife, Jean of 15 years; two sons, Glynn Goss, Jr., and his wife, Kathy; and son Richard Goss of Biloxi, Mississippi; stepson, Terry Ramsey and his wife, Joanie; four grandchildren, Tonya, Tamara, Tyler, and Jason; two step-grandchildren, Dustin and Damon; brother Kenneth Goss, and wife Jeanette; Theta Ruetz and husband, Carl; Barbara Ann Barnes and husband, Albert.

Charles was a master electrician, and the first person in Arkansas to have a foaming carwash brush with the opening of Snappy Car Wash on Stagecoach Road. He also was the owner of Stagecoach Grocery and Deli, now run by his oldest son, Glynn and his wife. Charles served as a commissioner on the Little Rock Waste Water Utility for 12 years. From 1953 until 1956 he served at Fort Knox, Kentucky Tank Division and was discharged as a sergeant. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his best friend Skippy Jack, his beloved Jack Russell.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel (501)224-8300, with Pastor Melvurn Hill officiating. Interment will be at Cypress Valley Cemetery in Vilonia.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
