William Alan Mitchell, 18, of Vilonia departed this world and went to be with the Lord on Friday (July 4, 2003).
Born in Conway on Oct. 14, 1984, William graduated in June 2003 from Vilonia High School. He was a very sharp-minded young man. William was a "shade-tree" mechanic. His dream was to become a professional bull rider. William was led to the Lord by his grandfather, Charles Eddy Buchanan. He became a Christian in October 2002, joining Friendship Baptist Church of Vilonia.
Survivors are his parents, Chuck and Tricia Buchanan of Vilonia; two brothers, Robby Meeks and Charles Jessie "CJ" Buchanan, both of Vilonia; a baby sister on the way, Hannah Faith Buchanan; his grandfather, William Otis Mitchell of Vilonia; his grandparents, Charles Eddy and Shirley Ann Buchanan of Vilonia; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a gathering of remembrance held at 10 a.m. Thursday (July 10, 2003) at Friendship Baptist Church in Vilonia with Ken Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Cypress Valley Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, Ark. 72034, 501-327-5000.
