Woman Dies In Head-On Collision
GENTRY — A Mountainburg woman was killed Saturday after the vehicle she was driving apparently crossed the center line on Arkansas 12 and struck an oncoming vehicle.
Allsha Gilmore, 18, of 12623 N. Arkansas 348 in Mountainburg, was pronounced dead at the scene. Gilmore was heading east on Arkansas 12 about 1.2 miles West of Gentry when her 2005 Honda Civic collided with a 1979 Mercury driven by Geraldine C. Tisdale, 68, of 10928 S. Arkansas 43 in Gently.
The Arkansas State Police Troop L responded to the crash that occurred at about 1 a.m. This marks the 44th fatal auto accident the troop has responded to this year. It is unblown at this point what caused the crash.
Tisdale was taken to Gravette Medical Gentler Hospital to treat injuries from the crash, according to police, yet this could not be confirmed by the hospital. Tisdale's condition was unknown. Galmore's body is being held at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

GENTRY - Alisha Marie Gilmore, 18, of Mountainburg, died Aug. 13, 2005 near Gentry. She was born Nov. 20, 1986, in Salinas, Calif., to John and Judy Kay Heath Gilmore.
She graduated from Gentry High School in 2005, and worked as a clerk at Subway in Van Buren.
Survivors include her parents of the home; two brothers, John Gilmore Jr. of Muldrow, Okla. and Jake Gilmore of the home; one sister, Shannon Gilmore of Alma; maternal grandmother, Glenna Heath of Gravette.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery near Springdale.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
