Lemuel “The Trusted One” Cook was born August 8, 1953 to the late Cleveland (Yankee) Cook, Sr. and Willie Mae Green-Cook. Lem confessed Christ at an early age at the Palarm Missionary Baptist Church in Mayflower, Arkansas. Lem served in the United State Armed Forces. By trade he was a carpenter, which he learned from his father, Yankee Cook.

Lem was joined in Holy Matrimony on August 25, 1986 to Felicia A. (Nichols) Cook. After moving to Portland, Oregon, Lem started his own concrete construction business. Lem and family returned to Conway, Arkansas in 1996 where his business continued for 17 years.

Lemuel leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Felicia Cook; children, Dairdre Nichols of Indianapolis, IN, Lindsey Cook of North Little Rock, AR, Lemicia Cook of North Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, J’dyn, Spratt, D’Khari Richardson, and Ken’Niyah Walker. His mother, Willie Mae Cook; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Cook, Leroyce (Pam) Cook, Allen “Tom” (Elois) Cook; one sister, Mae Helen Hammonds; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Lem is preceded in death by his father, Cleveland Yankee Cook, Sr.; his brother, Cleveland, Jr., and sister, Hattie Marie McQuien.

Services:
Visitation is 10am, Saturday, November 30 at Palarm Baptist Church in Mayflower. Funeral service will follow at 11 at the church.
