Stanley Henderson, 80, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 26, 2007. He was born on November 9, 1926 in Bassett, Arkansas, a son of the late Wattie and Amy Henderson. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Churchwell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ella Jean Hardwick Henderson; sons, Bobby, and his wife, Kay, and Kenny, and his wife, Shannon all of Benton, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Kim Gibson, Cristy Hawley, Alisha Brooks, Kyle Henderson, Jessica Howard and Jody Dowdell; nine great grandchildren, Caleb, Alison, Alexis, Parker, Maggie, Calena, Caleigh, Travis and Andrew; brothers J. E. Henderson of Wilson, Arkansas, Johnny, Tommy and Billy Churchwell and a sister, Jeanette Feather, all of Des Arc, Arkansas.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2007, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, (501)455-5800, with Brother Robert Ashcraft and Brother Pat Greer officiating. Interment will be at Welcome Home Cemetery in Des Arc, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
