Dickie Ray Garrett, Sr. 61 of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in his home.
He was a retired self employed mechanic, a lifelong resident of Crawford County; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Van Buren Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Garrett, two brothers, Roger & David Garrett.
Funeral service will be at 10 AM Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by two daughters, Sally Murphy of Alma, Jessica Logsdon of Van Buren; one son, Bubba Garrett, Jr. of Cedarville; one adopted daughter, Pam Berg of Paris; his mother, Anna Killion of Van Buren; one sister, Deborah Garrett of Van Buren; nine grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The family will visit with relatives & friends Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be James Rowe, Dalton Garrett, Billy Rhynes, Matt Moses, Daniel Armer, and Derek Lowrey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Travis Prescott, Aaron Newell.
