Daughter of Moses Hickerson and Clarkey Isabella Looney Hickerson
The Hickerson Family Cemetery is located on private property on a farm at 1001 Vernon Hill Road, Booneville, AR. The cemetery is in a completely neglected state & is located in a thicket of trees and brush. There are approximately a dozen graves in this small cemetery. On June 12, 2012, when this photo was taken, only 4 headstones with inscriptions were located. Almost all of the headstones had fallen over or were leaning on broken tree branches. Josephine can be found with her family in the 1860 census in Bowie County, Texas, and in the 1870 census in Tumbleston, Scott, Arkansas. The 1870 census was taken on August 4, just 15 days before Josephine died.
