Rodney Anthoney Taylor, 57, of Mayflower passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013. He was born on Tuesday, June 28, 1955 in Marianna to Hazel (Swift) Taylor and the late Melvin Taylor.
He was a playful, fun, loving, caring husband and father. He enjoyed caring for and every moment with his grandchildren. He loved hunting and fishing.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Cynthia (Coyle) Taylor; sons, Rodney Taylor II (Laura), Blake Taylor, and Kevin Taylor (Regina); twelve grandchildren, Justin Jay Taylor, Danielle Taylor, Austin Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Victoria Taylor, Priscilla Taylor, Sarah Ann Taylor, Colton Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Zoey Taylor, Dakota aka “Flash” Taylor, and Nikki Sanders Taylor; great-grandchild, Caydance Ann Taylor; mother, Hazel (Swift) Taylor; sister, Debbie Griffin; brothers, Billy Taylor (Patricia) and Timmy Taylor (Penny); and a host of other extended family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lori Ann Thomas.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery with Rodney Taylor II, Kevin Taylor, Justin Taylor, Steve Williams, Pete Reed, Austin Taylor, Chris Gammel, and Nolan Gammel serving as pallbearers. Blake Taylor, Tony Gammel, Chad Dollar, Timmy Dollar, and Travis Rodgers will serve as honoary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 14, 2013.
