Husband of Helen Edgar
Harold Edgar, 71, of Van Buren died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in a local hospital. He was a retired farmer and a member and deacon of the Holiness Block Church.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holiness Block Church with burial at Dyer City Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; six step-daughters, Davalene Wells and Charlotte Barber, both of Van Buren, Linda Wedington of Missouri, and Roberta Householder, Mary Taylor and Frieda Hoover, all of Alma; one son, Leroy of Alma; five step-sons, James Hale of Bridgeport, Tenn., Daniel Hale and David Householder, both of Alma; Wilson Hale of Van Buren and Lester Householder of Florida; four sisters, Florence Chandler and Maudie Clark, both of Mulberry, Patsy Brumley of Mountainburg and Emalar Mooney of Mississippi; two brothers, Carl of Dyer and Lonzo of Mulberry; 34 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
