Bobby Lawrence Burnett, 77, of Cabot, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Ark. Pallbearers will be Air Force Patriot Guard. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cabot, Ark. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 10411 W. Markham St., Little Rock, Ark., 72205.

Born Dec. 15, 1933, in Marshall, he was the son of Lena Waisner Bargfrede and the late Leonard Burnett. On Jan. 21, 1962, in Jacksonville, he married Florence Burnett who survives of the home. He graduated from Marshall High School and lived in Saline County until he joined the Air Force in June 1952. He was an Air Force firefighter for 16 years in active duty, with 20 years of civil service and four years as explosives ordnance disposal. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4548 in Jacksonville. He was a member of Missouri National Guard; USAF from 1952 to 1972 and Civil Service from 1973 to 1993.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debbie Cooper and Deedee Eaton, both of Cabot, Ark.; six grandchildren; one step-brother, Don Mew of Topeka, Kan.; and one step-sister, Georgia Mew Ford of Tequesta, Fla.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Thelma Burnett; step-father, Ludwig Barfrede.
