SPRINGDALE — Donald Turner, 79, of Springdale died Sept. 30, 2008, at Springdale. He was born April 8, 1929, in Sapulpa, Okla., to John Thomas and Margaret M. Fouts Turner.
He was a minister for 50 years and had worked in construction. He was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God in Springdale.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Martin Turner of the home, to whom he was married Aug. 4, 1949; eight children, Kathy Jean Hannah and husband Cliff of Locust Grove, Okla., Donna Raye Brewer and husband Jere of Lowell, Bonne Faye Brock of Springdale, Patsy Ann Turner and husband Jimmie of Fayetteville, Steven Dwayne Turner and wife Carol of Stilwell, Okla., Margaret Noma Dennison and husband Loyd of Fayetteville, Carl Anthony Turner and wife Linda of Springdale and Wanda Harding and husband Wayne of Hindsville; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Westfield Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. C.H. Doss officiating. Burial will be in Round Mountain Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Eagle, Jim Turner, Jerry Turner, Timothy Turner, Travis Knotts and Travis Beadourx.
