William T. Cook, age 32, of Hardin, Texas, passed away Friday, February 9, 2007, at Liberty, Texas. Born in Flint, Michigan, on May 28, 1974, he was the son of Daniel James Cook and Liza Jane Hargarther Cook.
William had lived in Arkansas for most of his life. He was a graduate of Heber Springs High School and attended Arkansas State University. William had been a resident of Texas for the past year and a half and was employed as a foreman for Trinity Storage. He was a veteran of the United States Army. William was an Eagle Scout and a member of the First Baptist Church.
William is survived by his grandmother, who raised him, Joan Williams and her husband, R. D. Williams of Heber Springs; one son, Gershem Mott of Hardin, Texas; his father, Daniel Cook of Miles City, Montana; one half brother, Daniel J. Cook, Jr. of Miles City, Montana; and his aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 16, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Colby Crow officiating. Interment will follow in the Magness Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Colosky, Kenneth Stansbury, Larry Adams, Scott Byrd, and Lee Carson.
