ROBINSON, Robert Patterson - R.P. Robinson passed away at the family farm home about two miles north of Gentry, Ark. on Wednesday, Feb. 13th, 1919. Mr. Robinson had been in poor health for some months but had been confined to the house only a short time. Robert Patterson Robinson was born in Zanesville, Ohio Dec. 23, 1844. He was the son of Samuel and Narcisses Zane Robinson. He was married Dec. 20th, 1890 to Miss Nellie Duncan of Kirkwood, Ill. There was born to them one daughter who died in infancy. Mr. Robinson moved to Burlington, Iowa in the autumn of 1854 where he remained for 50 years. About 14 years ago he and his wife moved to Siloam Springs, Ark. Last March the family moved to the present home near Gentry, Ark. While living at Burlington Mr. Robinson was court reporter for 21 consecutive years. The other years of his business life he was associated with the "Burlington Hawkeye" and the "Burlington Gazette."
