Batesville Guard
MELBOURNE – Phil Lamb Langston, 74, of Melbourne died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at a Batesville hospital.
Born Dec. 7, 1926, at Bandmill, he was the son of Oto Langston and Lena Everett. He was a retired welder of 20 years, served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Edna Langston; a son, Larry Langston of the home; a brother, Howard Langston of Melbourne; two sisters, Janie Teague of Melbourne and Dorothy Richardson of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Shana Langston, Chad Langston and Jennifer Langston; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Melbourne with Tim Porter officiating. The body was cremated.
