Elza Elmer Twilley, 86 of Melbourne, died January 20, 1987 at Cherokee Memorial Hospital, Cherokee Village. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Melbourne Masonic Lodge and the First Baptist Church of Melbourne.

Survivors include: two sons, Marion Franklin Twilley and Charles Twilley, both of Kansas City, Missouri; nine daughters; Juanita Bullock, Covina, California; Louise Bidwell, Denton, Texas; Lauree Craig, Desha; Betty Jo Click, Greenville, Tennessee; Peggy Shipley, Kansas City, Missouri; Doris O’Neal, Columbia, Missouri; Martha Reeves, Delois Webb and Mary Ann Ball all of Mt. Pleasant: one brother, Jim Twilley of Modesto, California ; two sisters, Mary Richards of Odesso, Texas and Ruth Holland of Sudan, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Haley Twilley and 2 daughters, Modena Twilley and Pearlie Lavern Twilley.

Services were held January 23 at Melbourne First Baptist Church with J. C. Montgomery and Owen Harvell officiating. Pallbearers were: Gene Helm, Jim Miller, Tate Lawrence, Kenneth Vest, Eugene Loggins and Burt Weaver. Burial was at Reeves Cemetery with arrangements by Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
