April 16, 1942 - September 14, 2002
Doyle E. Carter, 60, of Van Buren died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, in his home. He was a custodian with the Van Buren Public School System and a member of the Dora Pentecostal Church of God. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Cemetery Arbor in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; three daughters, Gayla Jones, Kitty Sue Chronister and Katherine Pendergrass, all of Van Buren; three sisters, Vola Key and Goldie Boster, both of Westville, Okla., and Mary Keith South of Greenwood; a brother, John Carter of Morrow; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert and Rodney Carter, Ricky Keigh and Jamie, Michael and Darrell Mattingly. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Times Record Online
