James Allen "Jim" Stokes, 68, of St. Charles, Missouri, died March 5, 2001, at his home.
Born October 2, 1932, at Springfield, Missouri, he was a son of the late James Winferd Stokes and Zeda Carter Stokes.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a Baptist. He was also a homebuilder.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy O'Neal Stokes, whom he married October 25, 1953; two sons, James K. Stokes of Wright City, Missouri, and John R Stokes of St Peters, Missouri; a daughter, Nancy MacPhaerson of St Peters, Missouri; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
