ELKINS — Oren Chester Combs, 80, of Elkins, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Washington Regional Hospital.
He was born April 4, 1930, at Japton, Ark., the son of Claude and Nettie Harriman Combs.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Hiland Dairy and was also an independent contractor doing dozer work.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Combs; sons, Michael L. Combs of Elkins, Ark., and Lesley A Combs of Durham, Ark.; sisters: Marlene Ray of Japton, Ark., and Marva Wood of Springdale, Ark.; brother, Bill Combs of Fayetteville; granddaughter: Amanda Combs of Fort Carson, Colo.
Graveside Service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
Burial will be in McCord Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Moore's Chapel.
