She is the daughter of George and Annie W. Talley Berry.
Our family tree only lists her as D. E. The Jones family usually adhered to traditional naming patterns. I almost imagine her name was Desdemona Eliphalete for Annie's cousin and her great grandmother. Eliphalete is a generations old name for the Jones line.
