Robert Edward "Bob" Tate, 80, of Warren, died Saturday at Bradley County Medical Center.
He was born April 23, 1925, at Warren, a son of the late Elmer Tate and Margaret Rice Tate.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He was a retired US Postal Service employee.
He was a member and past commander of the Martin-Tate Post of the American Legion.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Elmer Tate and two sisters, Alda Witherington and Opal Cox.
There were no immediate survivors.
