John (Jack) W. Glasgow, 87, of Romance, Ark., formerly of Warren, Ark., died Friday, March 4 in Searcy. He is preceded in death by his parents, R.W. Glasgow and Florence Kyle Glasgow, a brother R.W. (Bill) Glasgow and a sister Virginia Glasgow Butler. He leaves behind a host of family, friends and caregivers. He was a 1941 graduate of Warren High School, and immediately joined the Army Air Corps. As a pilot in WW II, he flew in the European theater, delivering supplies to allies in China, flying over what was called "The Hump" in Burma. After military service he graduated from the University of Arkansas and started his life as an artist and entrepreneur. He was a very intelligent man who carefully thought out every action. He will be missed.
