Note:
The date of birth for Andrew is not correct on this marker. He was born about 1852. The evidence for this is that he is not found on the 1850 Federal Census and is on the 1860 census age 8. Other census records also confirm a date of birth in 1852. The 1900 census indicates December 1852. Andrew is part of my family. He was brother to my direct ancestor Tillman S. Simmons. They were from Tallapoosa County in Alabama.
