December 18, 1896 -December 19, 1956
Mrs. Mabel Flaherty, aged 60, 244 Harrison Ave. died at her home at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Flaherty has been a resident of Camden for the past 30 years. SHe moved to Camden from Mississippi where she was born December 18, 1896. She was the daughter of Dr. H. C. and Ida Suber Davis. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Ida Rezek of Camden; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Moxley of Texarkana; a son, John D. Flaherty who is overseas; and a brother, Henry Davis of Camden. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Proctor's Chapel by Rev. Francis A. Buddin. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Active bearers are Dwight Meeks, Mike Garner, W. V. Camp, H. T. Reather, and Grover Dunn, H. T. Reather, John H. Malone, and Grover Dunn. (Camden News - December 20, 1956)
