EWING ELMER KECK
Ewing Elmer Keck, 90, of Bela Vista, died Nov. 29 in Bates Memorial Hospital, Bentonvile. Born July 24, 1888, at Necona, Texas, he was the son of John Criss and Dora Craddock Keck and a member of the Baptist Church. He took part in the Oklahoma land rush 1889 in a covered wagon. He was member of college faculties in Texas and Oklahoma and taught for 45 years in what was formerly Oklahoma A and M at Stillwater. He moved to Bella Vista 10 years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Clark Keck of Bella Vista and Karl Keck of Chandler, Ariz.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Burns Funeral Home, Bentonvile, with the Rev. J.C. Ford officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery. Visitation hours will be 6-8 p.m. Friday in Burns Bentonville chapel.
