Levi Walker, 89, of Palestine, died Monday, July 30, 2001 at Crestpark Nursing Home in Forrest City. He is survived by two daughters, Luella Walker of Marianna and Flossy Walker of Clarksdale, Miss.; two sons, Lindon Walker of Goodwin and Sylvester Walker of Chicago; one brother, London Walker of Gill; one sister, Willetta Mathis of Forrest City; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Walker and a son, Levi Walker Jr. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5 at Antioch M.B. Church in Palestine with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial was in Goodwin Cemetery in Goodwin. Marianna Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
