Coy Junior Newberry, 79, of Green Forest, AR passed away at home with his family by his side, on December 12, 2010. He was born on September 24, 1931 at George, AR son of the late Albert Newberry and Clercia (Luper) Newberry.

On March 28, 1953 he was united in marriage with Geraldine (McCullough) in Reno, Nevada. Coy was a farmer and in the Charcoal business. He and Geraldine owned and operated Jasper Charcoal and managed a carcoal plant in Cotter. He loved horses, working on his farm, fishing and visiting with his friends. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was associated with Osage Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine Newberry, of the home, two sons; Jim Newberry

of Green Forest, Jack Newberry and wife Donna of Metalton. Grandchildren; (Kristin Newberry of Lowell, Bradley Newberry of Metalton, Lindsey Newberry of Metalton, Jaime Newberry of Fayetteville, Cole Newberry of Green Forest and brother, Troy of Springdale, a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Coy is preceded in death by 4 sisters; Edith Allred wife of Ausbin, Edna Allred, wife of Fate, Lucy Allred, wife of Nubern, Eula Cook, wife of Chester and Beatrice Piper, wife of Preston, 3 brothers; Earl, husband of Dora Alford, infant brother Dennis and Hammy, husband of Mandy Randall.
