Springdale Man Killed on 71
Norman Sizemore Was Driving Alone
Driving alone in a sedan, Norman Sizemore, 27, Springdale route 3, was killed in a highway accident on highway 71 near the Washington-Benton county line north of Springdale this morning.
Critically injured, Sizemore was brought to Fayetteville City hospital in a Callison-Riggs (Springdale) ambulance but died shortly before he reached the hospital.
Sizemore suffered a fractured neck when his car turned over, knocking off the right front door.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sizemore of near Springdale and is survived by his parents and a brother, Henry Sizemore who is serving in the army.
Sheriff Arthur Davidson, who investigated the accident, said that the car apparently overturned when a tire blew out. Sizemore was driving north on the highway about two miles north of Springdale when the accident occurred.
