Michael Lee Rollan, 55, a resident of Independence, Missouri passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at the Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Michael was born October 30, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of William and Florene Cunningham Rollan. He was a machinist for Scott Paper Company for 27 years. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed string art.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Rollan and his sister, Sheri.
Survivors include his mother, Florene Rollan of Independence, Missouri; his nephew, Stephen Villines of Independence, Missouri; two aunts, Mavis Hamilton of Kansas City, Missouri and Corene Parnell of Valley Center, Kansas; several cousins and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Galatia Cemetery near Norfork with the Rev. Doug Huskey officiating. Pallbearers include Lee Sanders, Michael Pitchford, Kaleb Pitchford, Justin Pitchford and Shayne Hamilton. No visitation has been scheduled.
