Singleton T Babb Sr was awarded 81 acres after the Civil War for service rendered at Dardanelle, Ar.He then moved his family to West Hartford, Ar and built a home for them. Son Dempsey Babb was the last relative to live on the family homeplace where Babb Cemetery is located.
