BALLARD, Barney F. age 75, farmer of Oxford, died at his home Monday. He had been in ill health for the past two years, spending much of that time in a Little Rock hospital. He was well known throughout the county for his jovial nature. Surviving are seven sons, John of Washington, Harrison and Tom of Oxford, Lawrence of Ozark, Jeff of Shirley, Gene of Montana and George Ballard in U.S. Navy; four daughters, Mrs. Baber Martin of Dowdy, Mrs. Ella Rute of Diaz, Mrs. Ray Campbell of Washington and Mrs. Andy Armstrong of Biggers. Burial was at Oxford.
