Billy Alexander Day, son of Chuck and Jeannie DeAngelis-Bear Day was born April 29, 1982 in Calico Rock He departed this life on October 9, 2011 in Mountain View at the age of 29 years.
He was a 2000 graduate of Calico Rock High School He went on to attend college at University of Arkansas in Little Rock and Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He graduated from ASU with an Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services. He was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
He was united in marriage to LaDana Banks on July 26, 2003, in Mountain View and to this union two children were born. Billy spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father and paramedic. At the time of his death he was employed by MEMS Ambulance Service. He was of the Episcopalian faith.
Billy is survived by his wife of 8 years; LaDana Day of the home; one son, Dalton Alexander Day of the home; one daughter Eisley Elizabeth Day of the home; his parents: Chuck and Jeannie Day of Mountain View; three brothers; David Allen Day of Dallas, Dale Aaron Day of San Diego and Joshua Alexander Dale Bear of Dallas; one sister: Alisha Gail Day of Batesville; maternal grandfather, Gabriel Alexander Bear; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Barbara Jayne DeAngelis and his paternal grandparents; Bill Day and Nina Bernice Day. Funeral service will be Thursday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Vine Street Baptist Church in Mountain View. Burial will be at Trimble Campground Cemetery in Dolph under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the Vine Street Baptist Church. Pallbearers: David Day, Dale Day, Joshua Bear, Travis Bennett, Coty Williams, Brandon Hooper, Stephen Howard and Jermy Pugh. Honorary pallbearers: Kevin Branscum and Danny Carle Day. Memorials may be made to the Billy Alexander Day Healthcare Memorial Scholarship Fund at any Citizen’s Bank location.
