SPRINGDALE - Jerry Leon Phillips, 59, of Springdale died Sept. 30, 2006, at his home. He was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Rogers to Carrell M. and Mary Nadine Smyer Phillips.
He was a Baptist and lifelong resident of the area. He served in the Marine Corps during Vietnam and he enjoyed NASCAR, gun collecting and horses.
Survivors include his mother of Springdale; three brothers, Steve Phillips of Springdale. Don Phillips and Keith Phillips, both of Hindsville; one sister, Paula Wiley of Tulsa, Okla.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Hindsville. Burial will follow at Burkshed Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.
Pallbearers will be Leonard Sykes, Jerry Bowers, Loy Gene Phillips, Raymond Reynolds Jr., Dennis Roles and Floyd Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Smith, Harold Clardy, Jack Roles, LeRoy Horn, Kenny Parsons. Tom Blakemore, Kenneth Redell, Don Ferrell, Buck Buchanan, Ronald Morriss and Arnold Morriss.
