This cemetery is on private property in the Nella Community. It is where the community of Gist Town was originally located. The Gist family says that there is supposed to be 5 graves but there is only 1 headstone and 1 foot stone remaining. To find this cemetery, go south on Highway 71 from Y City approximately 6 miles to Nella Road or Forest Service Road 12. Turn right on Forest Service Rd 12 and go approx 7 miles to the Clear Fork Creek. After you cross the creek, the road becomes County Road 9. Follow this for another mile to the intersection of Nella Road (County Road 9) and Shiloh Church Road (County Road 14). Turn right on County Road 14 and go approximately 1 1/2 miles until you cross the Clear Fork Creek again. At the top of the hill is a driveway to a residence. The grave is on the west side of the house. You must have permission from the property owner to see the grave.
The mother is buried in the Whisenhunt Cemetery and her name on that stone is Marilla Gist
