Son of James T. & Susan Reeves Porterfield.

J. H. Porterfield Dies at Advanced Age
J. H. Porterfield one of this sections oldest citizens died at his home at Cross Roads Thursday, February 10. He was past 80 years of age and practically all his life was spent in Izard County.
Mr. Porterfield was a retired Baptist minister and began his ministry as a young man.
Survivors are his wife; three sons and three daughters and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Cross Roads Friday, Rev. R. N. Hall officiating. Burial was in Cross Roads cemetery with the Hall Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
