Stanley Joseph Tate died November 1, 1999 in Melbourne, Arkansas. He was born December 18, 1916 in Yardelle, Arkansas in Newton County to George W. & Belle Evans Tate. He married Ova McCollum September 5, 1936 in Osceola, Arkansas. To this union five children were born.
He was a World War II Veteran having served in the United State Navy and achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Survivors include his three daughters: Carol Yancey, Barbara Martin, Bonnie Hutchins; one son: Bobby Tate; one sister: Dovie Jackson; and one brother: Ross Tate, He was preceded by wife Ova Tate; his parents; one daughter: Catherine Sue Tate; one sister: Opal Walls; and one grandson: Sammy Joe Tate.
Arrangements were by Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
