Charles A. Silvis, 53, a resident of Route 3, Fayetteville, died Sunday morning at a Little Rock hospital. Born April 6, 1904, at Boston, the son of William and Victoria Silvis, he had resided in Washington and Madison counties his entire life, was the manager of the White River Lumber Products Company and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors are his wife, the former Rebecca Williams, to whom he was married March 31, 1923, at Boston; one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Allen, Fayetteville; three brothers, Everette Silvis, Huntsville, Eddie Silvis, Tulsa, Okla., and Roy Silvis, Raymond, Wash.; seven sisters, Mrs. Cleo Warren, Salinas, Calif., Mrs. Verna Hughes, Longview, Wash., Mrs. Faye Stapleton, Bartlesville, Okla., Mrs. Stella Ahart, Stillwell, Okla., Mrs. Opal Young, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Don Smith, Pettigrew, and Mrs. Ruby Johnson, Boston.
