Wesley Dan Kern , age 24, of Lincoln passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006, near Farmington.
Born Sept. 10, 1981, in Fayetteville to Larry Kern and Darlene Key Kimball, he was an energetic child and his personality drew people to him. He was known to his family as a "Gentle Giant." He enjoyed working in the yard with his wife, playing with the kids and reading. He loved sports; baseball was his favorite. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and shooting. He also loved animals; a stray dog always had a home if Wesley was around. He was a veteran of the U. S Coast Guard. As a corporal with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Wesley fulfilled a lifelong dream of being a police officer. He is survived by his wife, Jerah; a son, Quentin Kern; three stepchildren, Uriel, Halee and Bret; his father, Larry Kern; his mother and stepfather, Darlene and Jamie Kimball; a brother, Eric Kern; a sister, Meesha Cook; and his grandparents, Marjorie Key and Lois Still.
